UUUUUGGGGGHHHH!!

I am totally not having a good week so far with my training or weight loss!!!  My toes are KILLING me and they have some sort of fungus/infection that resulted from my MAJOR blisters on Saturday.  I had a great run on Saturday but my toes paid the price!!  I have not been able to run all week and it is already Wednesday.  This morning I got up and went to the gym to do my 9 miles for my training and was not able to endure 1 minute on the treadmill because one of my toes was hurting so bad.  I think I might go to the doctor.  I might have to have one of my toenails removed.  Yep, it hurts that bad!!!  I ended up doing the bike for 40 minutes but it was not the same.  I miss running!!  I don't like feeling injured.

Yesterday I got new shoes hoping that they would help with my toes.  Well, it looks like the person that fitted me 3 months ago accidently put me in a size that was 1/2 a size too small!!  I should have been in 8's these past 300 miles and I was in 7 1/2's!!!  The girl told me that this is probably what started my toe problem.  I am hoping that these new shoes will work wonders.  They aren't as cute as my pink running shoes but they will do the trick.

Today I am going to go and get weighed in at Weight Watchers and I am fully expecting to have gained at least 2 pounds this past week.  For starters, I ate 2 HUGE pieces of lasagna last night before I went to bed.  What was I thinking?????  I just had a really emotional day yesterday with it being the first day of school that I couldn't help it.  I am going to start new today and try to have a GREAT week!!

Sorry for such a negative post but I wanted to share my ups AND downs on my journey.  Please keep my toes in your thoughts.  I really want to be able to run the marathon in 4 1/2 weeks.  :)

  2. Robyn - hang in there honey - you are doing fantastic!!! You have been training for a marathon, so of course you need to eat more - so don't be so hard on yourself. Go see a doctor NOW about your toes so you don't make them worse - if you have to take a few days off of training it will be ok - maybe you can swim or do the bike to keep up your endurance while your toes heal. Sounds like the new shoes will help too. Look how much you have accomplished already - this is just a minor setback in the grand scheme of things and you WILL get through it!! {{hugs}}

  4. That is so terrible! It is so weird because on Monday I went visiting teaching and I was talking about my amazing friends (you) and telling about all the stuff you do...well anyway the lady said she had a friend who ran marathons and her feet got all bloody and stuff. I said oh, no! I hope that doesn't happen to Robyn. Then you post this. I hope you recover soon! You are amazing! Love ya, Jen

  11. Have you ever considered going on a Raw diet? I would suggest adding more living foods to your diet. Cooked food adds stress to your body because your body has to come up with the enzymes necessary to break down the food you eat. With a raw diet, the food you eat breaks itself down. You don't have to go 100%, try 50% raw, you will feel better, less emotional and have more energy.
