20 Miles!!!!

So my DH and I had a goal of 20 miles this past Saturday AND WE DID IT!!! The last mile was the hardest. My legs almost wouldn't move themselves and my toes were killing me. I found that I had more endurance than I had 2 weeks ago when we ran 18 miles. I honestly cannot believe that I ran 20 miles in 3 hours 24 minutes!! That is like a total miracle!! If someone would have told me 7 months ago that I would be running a marathon in 8 months I would have told them that they were crazy..... BUT we are doing it and we are right on track!!!!

Here is a pic of me from 2 Sundays ago.

  4. Way to go Robyn! I ran my first 32km (20 miles) last Sunday. I know how daunting that distance can be. I am also training for a Marathon. Congratulations on sticking with it. Thank you so much for being such an incredible inspiration to so many people.

  6. That is fantastic, Robyn! I just want to let you know it's because of you my best friend and I have gotten back in the swing of things health wise. We are both members of calorie king and have weekly updates with each other as to how we are doing with our calorie upkeep. Also, we are both trying to work in as much exercise as we can. I am up to 4 miles/walk and trying to walk 5 days a week! :) Thank you very much for your blog. You are an inspiration to us all!

  10. Congrats on your run. I am so happy for you, you are keeping me motivated. I also like that everytime you have a pic of yourself your always have your shoes off. I love that. I am one of those people that when I get home off they come. Even in the winter I am usually bare foot. lol....Anyway, that just made my day. Have an awesome week, Lisa G

  12. You do look amazing. This is when the training gets tough-and you are cruising right along with it! My marathon is a couple of weeks later than yours-I do an 18 this Sunday. Really, at this point, its in your head. You can do it-your legs, your body, this is when all that training pays off. During those last miles-remember that! You are strong (totally awesome)!! Best of luck to you during your race. I hope you have great weather and a great run.

  14. WOW, I only just came upon this website after having your Pink Stamper marked in my favourites :-). I just wanted to say that I think you have done an amazing job losing weight. I have just lost over 85lbs too and it has been a long haul. Trying to lose weight and having post partum depression for three years wasn't easy but I did it. Don't you get such a great feeling of achievement when you persevere?? Anyway, congratulations on getting to your goal!
