My Pink Loser Challenge!

Hello Everyone!

Are you all ready to get fit and healthy in 2013?  I know I am!  I started my journey 4 years ago, lost 50 pounds, maintained the loss for almost 2 years and then it slowly crept back on.  I realize that I cannot do this alone and I need support.  I would love for you to join me.  Here is what we will do for the challenge:

*Monday weigh in over on My Pink Loser's Facebook Page or on the weekly post here.  (You do not need to put how much you weigh, just how many pounds you lost, if you'd like to share.)

*Set a realistic weekly, monthly, etc. goal.  I say realistic because I have learned that if I set my expectations too high, I am just setting myself up to fail.  One of my weekly goals will be to get a certain amount of workouts in, for example.

*Be true to yourself and do not deprive.  Remember that if you deprive your body completely that is when a lot of us binge.  Everything in moderation.

*I will be checking in on MyFitnessPal on my iphone.  It's a great way to keep track of your food diary and exercise diary.

*Make yourself a fun award!

*We will have our big, first milestone check in the first week of April!  Have a 3 month goal, then we will go on from there.

I will try to take a weekly picture of myself for this blog every week.  That is something that helps ME. Start your own fitness blog and track your own personal journey.

I am looking forward to Wednesday!  I'll see you all HERE and on http://www.facebook.com/pages/My-Pink-Loser/137106772993983?__req=3&filter=2

Hugs!
Robyn

  1. Sounds like a great plan. I am going to work on doing a daily book for this so I can keep track of everything. I agree about the realistic goals, sometimes we make big goals and we get overwhelmed and end up quitting (at least for me).

  5. I'm totally with you. My weight has gotten completely out of control in the past few years. Right now, I haven't developed any health problems from the extra weight but, I think it's just luck. Some of my family thought I was crazy for starting a diet the week before Thanksgiving but, I have lost 15 pounds instead of gaining 10. I even treated myself on special occasions. So now, I'm back on the diet 100%. Need to get on myfittnesspal too.

  10. I am in with you Robyn!! I have yo yo'd too many times to count, but I hope to end that terrible cycle now. I got a Wii Fit Plus for Christmas and hope that will help with my lack of activity. I would like to lose about 35 - 40 pounds, and I know it won't be easy. I look forward to having the support on this long journey! :)

  12. A blog would be a great idea, but not sure I am up for the exercise, changes in food and learning how to create a blog, lol. Hey, what the heck, it's a new day, it's a new year, and I have a NEW A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E! I have the app on my phone and am ready to go! So excited to NOT BE doing this alone. I have a wedding to plan for, and AM DETERMINED to get back down to the single digit size when we first went out (20 years ago). You can find me on mnfitnesspal as kimproud.

  13. I'm in as well. I've lost about 40 since June 1, 2012. That being said, I was dx. type 2 diabetes on 9/23/12, so my weight has already taken a toll on my body. I try to walk 3x a week, about 2 miles at a time. I'm a teacher and coach, so this is my busiest time of year. I need to be motivated to keep tracking and exercising, even when I'm too busy and too tired to keep going. I'm also on myfitnesspal as sashouse.

  14. I'm in. I need to exercise more. I need an early morning walking buddy. No excuse for weather because it is always nice here and I have a gym membership. I can stay away from sweets and snacks as long as I get a little chocolate treat for meeting a goal. Should be starting a new job soon and would love to feel better about the way I look in career clothes.

  15. I'm in! I want to lose about 20lbs. I am so tired of carrying the same "resolution" into the New Year and am determined NOT to carry this one into 2014.

  16. I am in.
One of my goals for 2013 is to get healthy. In Jan our church is doing a 21 day fast. So I will continue through that but I'm not sure how much exercise I can do while doing a "Daniel fast". I look forward to the changes ahead both spiritually and physically.

  18. Hey Y'all!
I am in. I need to be accountable. I am an Army Brat, Army Wife, Army Mom and DGS is applying to USMA!! Mom to 4, Grammy to 9.
DH supports me 1000% but continues, in his Southern Gentleman way, to offer me food.
My docs ganged up on me about weight. I am seeing a baritatric specialist - have lost 40 have 30 to go. After the 40 I fizzled out. Hadn't the will to carry on. I do feel so much better. Had to buy a new capsule wardrobe - will probably need another after the last 30#'s. We have a big family event in Aug so that is my taco on a stick. LOL
I have an exercise machine - am bored to pieces even in front of the TV.
I am saying anon. b/c I don't know from URL. I know what it is, just not what it is if I have one!
