Where have I been?

Hi everyone!!

I am so sorry I haven't posted lately.  I am feeling like I have overcommitted myself to too many things.  I am trying to get my life back on track so I can do the things that I truly love and one of them is sharing my fitness goals.

I am no longer doing the marathon on April 24th due to my being sick for 3 weeks and not exercising at all.  I am still going with my husband but I will be his cheerleader instead.  I am just not feeling it for me this time.

I was able to run 5 miles on Monday BUT I am still sore today and it is Wednesday!!  That is so nuts to me because I used to run 6 miles at least 3-4 times in one week!!  I want to build myself back up again.  I am going to head on over to the gym in a little bit this morning.  My goal for running is to do whatever I can.

I hope you all have a terrific day!!
Robyn

  1. Good for you. I have tried to post this 4 times now lets see if it will do it. I hope to do a marathon someday. But it takes me 45 minutes to run a 5 K.

  2. I can understand and appreciate what stacking your plate fuller than you know what to do with can do to the time you have for the things you love to do... they seem to be put on the bottom of the list, one step at a time. But now it seems like you're getting what you want YOUR priorities to be, set in place! Congrats on getting back on track! I walked my first 5k, I think that's what it was, the other weekend and really enjoyed it. I plan to work my way up to run them all! It's a family thing so that adds a little something extra! anyways! Congrats again! We're all rootin for you!

  4. Glad you are back on track. I fell off the wagon some this past week and I need to get back full force again. I think it's normal to be overextended from time to time. Practice saying "no". It's okay, really!

  5. You are an inspiration to me to see your progress! I am just starting out on my journey which seems so long! How did you stay so consistant and motivated with weight loss? Was it hard running at your heaviest? Did you start with walking first? Sorry for all the questions! You look terrific! Keep up the great work!

Glad I clicked on a few of your buttons! I am just starting to run with Girls on The Run as an assistant coach....we have 14 girls getting ready for a 5K on June 13. And my starting weight is weigh (LOL) more than what you started at....thanks for posting your progress. It gives me hope!

  8. I was walking 5 times a week for awhile; stopped for a month, and now I'm just starting up again. It's hard to stay motivated ... thanks for sharing that it's not easy for you too. I was feeling like I was the only one struggling.
    Take care ... Lucy

  9. Any little bit you do is better than none! I was walking every night, and got away from it in the snowy weather and now that it is nice it's really hard to get back to. I get sore so easily!!

Take it easy and remember, slow and steady wins the race!

  10. No worries, Robyn. You are doing great and from my perspective, doing a fine job juggling. Don't be too hard on yourself! I know as a mom that's hard to do when you always feel you could do more. Take care of yourself :)
