Quick Post this morning

Hi everyone!!

Well, can I tell you that this has been a hard year already since January 1st? I have been noticing that some of my bad eating habits have returned and some of my weight creeping back on. BUT......... I am DETERMINED that I am NOT going back to the way I was before!!!!

Yesterday I started writing down my Weight Watchers points again. I am giving myself 18 points until I get back where I was and then I will go to 24 points. Plus my activity points.
I ran 4 miles yesterday at a lower speed than I was used to. I just need to get in the habit again and it doesn't matter if I am not a speed racer!!

Today I am feeling a little queasy. I think I am getting that ugly 24 hour flu that my baby had yesterday. I hope not but I think I might be. I am going to take it a little easy with the exercise but I might walk a bit.

I really need to start setting some goals again this year and get them on paper. I might blow up my before picture and put it on the fridge. Something needs to get my mind off food!

I hope you all are having a fantastic week!! You can do it! Hang in there. I am!

  1. You can do it Robyn. I need to follow your motivation. January is so hard for me with being so gray, cold and snowy so I'm emotionally eating and lacking motivation.

I hope you get feeling better. Last week my stomach felt the same way.

  2. Love your determination. It is nice to know I am not the only one that fights her bad habits.

    Thanks for the update

  3. Keep an eye as it creeps back on is great! I lost a ton of weight then ignored my bad habits when they came back.

I hope you post more Robyn because I find you very inspiring!!

  4. It might be motivational to know that with the help of your weight loss, healthy eating blog you've helped me to finally get away from all of the excuses I would always give myself as to why to NOT start my weight loss journey. But I have started it, I'm eating vegetables (with the stir fry recipe you posted) which I hate, and been working out. Not as religiously as you do, but I do hope one day I'll get there. I just really admire your determination and motivation even during the first week. You're truly inspiring and I hope that these comments help you with a little re-boost of confidence that you can do it! Wish you all the best!!

  5. Robyn,

Boy I appreciate your candor. Your journey is helping me see this deal for what it is. Temptation is not going to go away when the bodyfat does.

Sounds like you are getting on track again. Good for you! You can do it. You have what it takes.

    Have a joyful day.

  6. Robyn, I also do Weight Watchers and have been a life-time member at goal for over four years. I have learned to take a slight gain at holiday time and get back on track in January. The first week is always the hardest but it has worked. The beauty of Weight Watchers (at least I feel) is that you really can enjoy the holidays and celebrations. For me staying at goal is much harder than losing was. When I was taking the weight off I was excited to buy the new clothes, etc. Maintaining is almost boring. ha-ha EXCEPT for when spring comes and last year's clothes still fit! ha-ha Hang in there! If I can do it anybody can! (I have been eating alot of popcorn this week! ha-ha) - disneygirl0001@yahoo.com

  7. I find this blog extremely motivating. I too started WW in October and am down exactly 25 lbs this week with 40 more to go! I've lost a little each week and never gained. I'm pretty strict about not cheating but have done little things here and there. I'm excited about getting that number back down! Never going back up....I have a persoanal trainer and am making exercise a huge part of my schedule now.

  8. Robyn, when was the last time you went back and reread this blog from the beginning? You might just find the motivation in yourself by rereading just how far you have come in such a short time!!! You can do it!!! I can not wait to hear about the next marathon you are running!!! When is it again??

  9. I hope you can be my motivation. ;-) I lost about 20lbs with WW about 6 months ago, and maintained until Christmas, and I am up 5lbs. It is those bad eating habits, I am having a hard time breaking right now. I keep telling myself tomorrow I will start writing points again. I have been saynig that for 2 weeks now. I really need to start today.

  10. how's it going? Keep it up Robyn! You've motivated me to sign up for a 1/2 marathon training program with my local Footworks. I mentioned in an email to you a few weeks ago that I'm signing up for a half marathon in Disney World this October and I'm hoping to do a few 5k's from now to then. I can't wait. I've even got some friends hyped too. Keep it up...LOOK at all the people you've motivated. I only hope that we can keep you just as motivated. :)

  11. Robyn,
I just feel like I have to say how flippin fantastic you look!
I have been following your Pink Stamper blog for ...it seems like almost a year? Not sure but quite awhile now. You look so much happier and I dont ever remember you looking as sad as your "before" photo. I have also been motivated by you, although I am MUCH older(turning 50 in Feb ...ugh.) I was the woman who could eat anything, anytime and didnt gain....until I hit 40 or so. Not badly but 2 lbs here then another 3lbs, and it's so gradual that you dont really realize it until 10 years goes by and now its 30lbs. YIKES! Good thing I'm very tall, but I'm sure you've heard a thousand times that the older you get the harder it is to loose. The weight is sooooo much more stubborn. So I am also started back doing the points, water, and exercise(dont like that part yet) in a big part because I found you here. I would like to attempt running a bit on my treadmill, not sure how successful I will be at that one but I;ll give it a shot. I hope that you grit your teeth and hang in there because as your children grow up and you become older the less active you become and the weight just settles around your middle. Once that happens (think spongebob,no curves!)you have to buy those "old mom"clothes that none of us old moms want to wear. You know who the "old moms" are, you see them picking up the kids at school looking like they have just givin up. No one wants to feel that way. Not even at 50!!
Your a doll and I wish you every thing good.
Thanks for letting me talk, you'll get back on track, come on girl think of all those cute new clothes you hae to wear! Be gentle with yourself but don't let 3 lbs turn into 10lbs....and so on.You've worked WAY TOO HARD to let it slip away now. I will contiue to follow you both here and on my pink stamper.
    I love your spunky spirit!

  14. Hang in there. I'd love to hear about your maintaining and the time leading up to lifetime. I joined WW in Oct and have lost 20 pounds. I have 5 more to go and have just stalled. It is so disheartening. Since Christmas I lost 0.8, then 0, then 0.6, and last week I gained the 0.6 I'm at 18 points and don't have anywhere to go. I don't eat but a few of my weekly points but wish I had so I could cut back on those. Will I ever reach goal?
Thanks for tracking your progress so we can all take a peek

  16. Hi Robyn,
I recently joined WW for the 6th time...My first time through was the most successful at losing 30 pounds. Every attempt after that has bomed big time leaving me the heaviest weight i have ever been (no specific number but I am heavier than most professional football players who are at least a foot taller than me). I joined up 3 weeks ago today with my mom and this time has to be different. My doctor told me that I need to say "I will be on WW for the rest of my life" not "I will be on WW until i lose x amount of weight". So here I am, 3 weeks in and I weigh again tonight. my first week, I lost 5 pounds, which is a long ways from my ultimate goal, but a start. I hope to lose at least 150 pounds when this is all said and done.
So I encourage you to keep going...plug along, and don't look back at what you looked like before. One day I hope to weigh what you weighed when you started and that would be AWESOME!!!
Sincerely and with so much encouragement,
    Ali Smith
