I love sweat!!!!



I know that sounds sooo totally gross but it is true!! When I workout I love to sweat! I don't feel it is a good workout unless my shirt is soaking!!

Today I ran 6 miles and it was a GREAT sweat day!!!!

Last weeks stats

Saturday - Ran 12 miles!!!  (yaaaaaa!!  I can't believe I did that!)

Friday - Ran/walked for 4.25 miles (3 miles of it was running)

Thursday - Bike for 14 miles

Wednesday - Ran for 8 miles!!

Tuesday - Nothing

Monday - Ran for 5.25 miles!

Total miles ran this week - 28.25!!!!

BYOTP!!!!!

Bring Your Own Toilet Paper!!

Yep, that's right.  The gross truth about running and porta potties.  I hate those things and I swore I would never use one but a funny thing happens after you've run 6 miles......... you've just gotta go and you DON'T care where it is!!!!

Last Saturday when we ran around Lake Hefner and I did 10 miles I had to use the porta potties.  I was lucky when I came to the first one and there was TP left but when I got to the second one it was empty so I had to hold it!!  Today when I ran I wore a "fanny pack" (another thing I swore I would never wear!!), and in my pack I put some kleenex which I was soooo grateful for!  Neither one of the porta potties had TP today but I was good to go!!

Okay, I know you didn't need to know that but I just felt like some of you would totally understand!!!

I ran 12 miles today!!!!!  Can you believe it??  This is my record and I am right on track for my marathon training!!!  It was very hard and I am very sore but I know that I can do it!!  I feel like I have some "nay sayers" in my life who don't think I can run a marathon in 7 weeks but those of you who know me know that that just makes me want to do it more!!!  To prove to myself that I CAN do anything I set my mind to!!!!  

Next week we are running a 1/4 marathon plus a 5 K which is around 10 miles.  Then the following Saturday we will be up to 14 miles and so forth.  I cannot believe I am going to run a marathon so soon but my body just feels like it is ready.

Hanging in there!

Hi guys!

I am having a really hard time with food these past 2 weeks.  Since I have been home from vacation I have been eating whatever I want!  That is a big problem!  I should be losing weight but I'm putting it right back on.  Even though I have been running like CRAZY!!!  Hopefully I get a  hold on the food again!!

Today I ran 5.25 miles on the treadmill.

Saturday - I ran 10 miles around Lake Hefner!!  (Next week I will try to run 12 miles around the lake).

Friday - Bike for 1 hour (14 miles)

Thursday - Ran for 6 miles!!

Wednesday - Walked/ran for 5 miles

Tuesday - Bike for 1 hour (14 miles)

Monday - Ran for 6 miles

Total miles ran last week............... 25 miles ran!!!!!!!

Marathon!!



So we did it! We are officially registered for the Top of Utah Marathon in September. I have 9 weeks to train. This past week I was under the weather......... again........... so I was unable to run or even had a desire to run. Today is Monday and I am going to start fresh.

I have started "another" blog for my marathon training. If you want to see how I am doing with that then check out....

Updated Picture

Here is the latest pic of me. I bought this outfit when I was in Utah. Isn't it adorable??? I can only say that because I didn't pick it out!! I love it but it doesn't work very well on windy Oklahoma days! I felt like Marilyn Monroe when I was coming out of Sam's Club. :)

BLAH BLAH BLAH!

That is how I am feeling today. I don't want to work out. I am not eating right. Uggghhhh!! I have no desire to run either, which I normally look forward to. My DH and I are supposed to be training for a Marathon that we are doing at the end of September. Am I crazy?? Did I just say MARATHON????? Our 10K went AWESOME in Utah. The only thing was..... I had NO supporters!! Both sides of our family knew we were going to be running and were not able to come out. I was a little disappointed but what can I do. I kept waiting for someone to yell out my name or to meet me at the finish line but that never happened. I had my BEST time, too!! I ran the 6.2 miles in 58 minutes!! That totally rocked!! Anyway, my DH wants to go to Utah to do the Marathon there but I don't want to fly all that way to run a Marathon by ourselves. I would just rather do one locally where we can run with friends and have some supporters there. I hope I am not sounding too harsh, I'm just in one of those moods. I feel better getting it all off my chest. Thanks!
