Hi Everyone!
Well, I have gained back 10 of the pounds that I lost so today I am starting FRESH! I am going to do it 100% like I did a year ago and really work on eating within my points & working out an hour a day, 6 days a week.
I promise to update better on this blog! I am off to the gym right now for an hour. Wish me luck! We are also running a 10K on July 5th!

I'm with you Robyn! We can do this!
ReplyDeleteHey if you did it once, you can do it again!!! I need to do this for myself also!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's easy to let things get away from you when you're so busy, huh?! I feel busy lately too.
ReplyDeleteI know you do Weight Watchers, but I've been learning about clean eating & I think it's really awesome. Basically it involves avoiding processed foods as much as possible, and also avoiding things like white flour & sugar whenever possible.
There's some awesome books on it. I just got the Eat Clean Diet Recharged & can't put it down, what I love about it is that you don't have to count calories or points, you just eat reasonable portions & do so every 2-3 hours. My metabolism has really revved up with this approach and I'm getting a lot of endurance from it. I'm finding it really easy since I don't have to count anything and I'm never hungry.
Just thought I'd share my find, we all know what works best for us, but sometimes it's fun to hear new things too. Good luck with your 10 lbs Robyn!
Oh... and do you have any advice for beginning running? I am really close to my weight loss goal & want to do something challenging, so I thought I'd try running, but I don't know a thing about it.
I gained back the 7 lbs I worked so hard to loose in Feb. AGGH! I have been doing too much playing and vacationing...and not watching it. I think I really lost my drive when my knee bombed out! I need to get it back. At least you made your goal once and are keeping in check. I need to make my goal and finish it~ so I can stop yo-yo-ing on a higher weight then I want to be. You are amazing!
ReplyDeleteHi Robin
ReplyDeleteYou can do it!!!
One day at a time!!
I lost 56 lbs, (and smoke free 3 years now) and feel great! Everyday is hard not to put it back on, if I fall one day, I get right back on the next. My health is so much better now, and I try to remember how I felt before and that helps keep me focused, (somedays) lol
Friends are there to help pick you up when you fall, WE are your friends!!!!
BIG HUGS!!!

I have been on a weight loss program as well. I have lost over 30lbs and then I have been gaining and losing the same 5 for several months. I am back on keeping track. I have to count my calories and write them down. I lose if I do this and gain if I do not.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on the 10K
Jan
Good luck, I know you'll make it, no problem! :) You're a great inspiration to me, trying to lose about 90 lbs here... No, not trying - I WILL lose them! One pound after the other!
ReplyDeleteHugs from Sweden!
I know you will do great just remember life does not live on diets alone. I am a Coleader at a TOPS group in my area and one of the gals who reached goal with out a single gain said "a sliver is just as good as a slice." So when she saw a sweet she really wanted she only took a sliver of it or a few bites if out and then was satisfied. The cravings were happy since she didn't feel deprived.
ReplyDeleteI am so looking forward to following this blog! I even wrote a whole blog about it! Check it out if you want!
