Week 2 - Weigh In!

Hey Everyone!

It's time to check in!  How did you all do on your first week??  I didn't do as well as I would have liked to.  Life got in the way, I got busy, I didn't eat the best every day.  That's just life.  Here are my deets:

Week 2 Weight:

147.2 (- 1.6 pounds)


I was horrible this week with exercise!  My kids went back to school on Monday, so I did a lot of stuff that I do not do with 5 little kids underfoot.  :)

Week 1 - Day 2

Hello Everyone!

How was day 2 for you guys??  I did just fine but had my dentist appointment today instead of yesterday.  I needed to get two new crowns and although my husband is a dentist, I am the worst patient for a dentist!  LOL!!  My entire bottom half of my face was completely numb for about 4-5 hours!!  That really helped with eating since I couldn't eat anything.  I made myself a smoothie tonight and still have a little bit more that I can eat if I am still feeling hungry.

Week 1 - Weigh In (Pink Loser Challenge)

Personal Goal:  Lose 23.8 pounds

Right now I am using Fitness Pal but might decide to do Weight Watchers again.  I will see how my week goes.

Get Ready for the My Pink Loser Challenge!!

Hello Everyone!

Tomorrow is the BIG day!!  We will be signing in, or signing up to participate in tomorrow's post.  I would like to see exactly how many are joining us.  My husband suggested we have teams to make it more fun but not sure how we would go about that.  If you have suggestions please leave a comment on THIS post.  I am going to be sharing my weekly weight but do not expect you to do the same.  Feel free just to share how many pounds you have lost.  Also, if you have a goal percentage or how many pounds you would like to lose in the first 3 months, that is what you will be sharing with us.

We can ALL do this!  Honestly, I don't feel very motivated tonight.  I am hoping with the encouragement of all of you, I can get excited!

My Pink Loser Challenge!

Hello Everyone!

Are you all ready to get fit and healthy in 2013?  I know I am!  I started my journey 4 years ago, lost 50 pounds, maintained the loss for almost 2 years and then it slowly crept back on.  I realize that I cannot do this alone and I need support.  I would love for you to join me.  Here is what we will do for the challenge:

*Monday weigh in over on My Pink Loser's Facebook Page or on the weekly post here.  (You do not need to put how much you weigh, just how many pounds you lost, if you'd like to share.)

*Set a realistic weekly, monthly, etc. goal.  I say realistic because I have learned that if I set my expectations too high, I am just setting myself up to fail.  One of my weekly goals will be to get a certain amount of workouts in, for example.

*Be true to yourself and do not deprive.  Remember that if you deprive your body completely that is when a lot of us binge.  Everything in moderation.

*I will be checking in on MyFitnessPal on my iphone.  It's a great way to keep track of your food diary and exercise diary.

*Make yourself a fun award!

*We will have our big, first milestone check in the first week of April!  Have a 3 month goal, then we will go on from there.

I will try to take a weekly picture of myself for this blog every week.  That is something that helps ME. Start your own fitness blog and track your own personal journey.

New Update!

Hi Everyone!

It's so funny that I haven't updated this blog in over a year.  I didn't realize it had been that long.  I was basically in my own world, got involved in tennis, and running my household for the past year.  I am back and starting my journey again.  This time I am totally serious.  What makes this time different, you ask?  I had some tests done at the dr's office this past week and the test results came back that I have high triglycerides and elevated cholesterol.  I really don't want to start taking medication to bring it down so I am going to try eating healthier and exercising more than I already do.  I am cutting sugar!  YIKES!!  Yes, you heard it here.  I am no longer going to be the sugar-aholic that I have been known to be.  I will have a treat once in a while but not as much as I've been having.  This will be good for me.  I am almost done with day 2 of almost no sugar and I'm feeling okay.  I'm also trying to cut out white flour as much as possible.  I made whole wheat spaghetti with ground turkey tonight for dinner and everyone ate all of it!  This is not only going to help me but my family as well.

Day 1 - Week 2 Weekly Weigh In

Hey Guys!

I hope you had a fabulous weekend!  I actually did really well with my eating.  Yesterday I ate a normal dinner with my family and even had dessert but I stayed within my weekly allotted extra points that Weight Watchers gives.

Today I weighed in and I lost exactly 2 pounds.  I was hoping for a 4 or 5 but I will take it.

Week 2 - 146.8 pounds.

Today I walked on the treadmill at an incline for about 45 minutes.  I ran a mile in the middle somewhere, too.

Hope you all have a great week!  I'm making a yummy pumpkin/banana bread recipe I got from  We have our weekly family night called Family Home Evening and I wanted to make sure that I could also eat the treat!  I'll post a pic with the recipe later.
